His Truth Will Set You Free

Listen to what Jesus says; “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

Blogging Friends

My blog friends filled my thoughts as I filled my mug with coffee this morning. We’ve never met in person, but I see you whenever you “like” or comment on one of my posts. I smile when I see your familiar name and image show up in my email, announcing your visit to my blog. I feel we know each other in a small way.

And as I thought of you this morning, I became filled with gratitude. I’m grateful for you and your visits. I’m grateful for your friendship, unconventional as it is. And I’m grateful for Jesus, for He brought us together. It was our mutual relationships with Jesus that connected us via this intangible, untouchable realm called the Internet.

And now I’m thinking… Jesus is all about relationships, and friendships. He promised He will be our friend, if we believe in Him. And I now see Him using manmade things such as the Internet to help make other friendships, such as yours and mine. That’s kind of cool.

But back to my original thought… thank you blogging friend. Thanks for your visits. I hope you have a great day.

Reflections on a double life... I'm just a wanna-be writer. What's it like trying to do serious writing while also being consumed with a full-time engineering job? Between the two, I sometimes don't get much sleep. But I love writing - it gets me out of bed when it's way too dark, just so I can do some work on my book before heading off to work. I'm also passionate about the truth of God and Jesus, a truth that is not always visible in the outward view of the Christian religion. It's this passion that has pulled me out of bed to write for over 6 years now, still working on the same book, a book about truth. Will it ever be finished? God knows.

  3. Thank you, CJ. I also value the internet friendships and relationships I have found here via WordPress, Facebook and Twitter, even, and value especially those with other Christians. Thank you also for your visits to my site in the past. All are appreciated. Best wishes to you in all you do, and in all you write and share on WP, Facebook and elsewhere.

  5. God is truly amazing. He inspires man to create things like the Internet and social media for the purpose of establishing relationships all around the globe. With that in mind, such a gift from God needs to be used wisely and in a way that glorifies Him. It saddens me when people post things on like Twitter or Facebook (people who profess to be Christians) things that make me ask, “How is that honoring God?” I am not trying to sound like a Pharisee, but I believe that faith followers in Christ ought to be a light in a dark world in any shape or form. That is why I am so grateful for those I am following and those who follow my blog are faithful with what the Lord has given to them. God bless you all.
